|
| What is the difference between POP3 email and email forwarding? |
Nameway®'s free email forwarding service allows you to create up to 100 email addresses that will be forwarded to another existing email address. For example, you can set up the account You@YourNewDomain.com to forward to your existing email address of You@YourISP.com or You@Hotmail.com or any other existing email address. You must have an existing email address to use this service. There is no need to change the settings in your email program when using this service. Nameway®'s POP3 Email Pak gives you an actual mailbox on Nameway®'s
mail server from which you can send and receive email. It is not necessary
to have an existing email account with your ISP or web host in order
to use this service. |

| How do I get a POP3 email account? |
First, you must be using Nameway® DNS in order to use our pop3 email. If you are using custom nameservers, we have no control over your domain name, and therefore cannot offer you any of the DNS functions, including email. Signing up is easy just follow these steps: Log into your account. On the POP3 email configuration page, you need to click the "add
an Email Pak" button. |

| How long does it take for the email address to be active? |
As soon as you have checked out your Email Pak and your order has been processed, and you have added users/mailboxes, your mailboxes will be ready. If the domain is brand new...it may take 12-48 hours to start working as it takes that long for the domain to become active. |

| Where do I login into my online webmail account for my domain POP3 email? |
Instead of going into the domain control panel, open a new browser and go to: webmail.yourdomain.com (do not enter www's). Example: If your domain name is TheSmithFamily.com, you would go to http://webmail.thesmithfamily.com to check your mail. Enter the specific email address and password. This takes you right into the email interface to send and receive your email. Else, you can access your email, change a password, or add a new mailbox user to the account from the domain control panel. Log into your account |

MXE (Mail Easy) is only for use when forwarding-mail to an IP address (i.e. 209.19.56.20). MX is used when forwarding e-mail to a mail server name i.e. mail.mailserver.com. NOTE: the dot "." At the end of the mail server name. You MUST include a dot at the end of any mail server name. Here are two examples, the first using MXE and the other using MX:

| Can I split the mailboxes I get with one Email Pak into several for multiple domains? |
No, each Email Pak is purchased and managed from only one domain at a time. |

| How much is a POP3 email account on my domain name? |
We sell POP3 email boxes by packages of 10 called Email Paks. Each Email Pak is sold as a pak of ten users, per year, per domain name (that means you get to use all ten email accounts under one domain name at a time). If you do not have an account, our retail rates are $19.95 per 10-pak. If you have your own Nameway® account, to see your specific rate, please click on "home", "pricing info" when logged into your account. |

| Can I order my POP3 email pak for more than one year at a time? |
Yes - Order the email 10-pak first. When you enter a quantity on your shopping cart, that is per 10-pak, not how many years you want it. So if you enter "2" in your shopping cart, you will get 20 email names for that one domain name (not two years worth). After the domain is registered and you have ordered the 10-pak, you can add additional years: Log into your account. |

| Which email clients are supported by your pop3 email addresses? |
Our POP3 email accounts can be configured in just about any email client you can find. However, there are a few special settings that may not be supported by older mail clients. Although most newer email clients do support this option, you'll want to be sure your preferred client will support Outgoing Server Authentication. Check the help files in the program if you are unsure. Here are a few email clients that we have tested successfully: Microsoft Outlook Express. Remember that if your preferred email client is not listed it may still be compatible, we simply haven't tested this. It is also not completely necessary that you use an email client to access your POP3 email account. You may also choose to send and receive mail through Webmail from any web browser on any computer. Please note that our testing does indicate that you may not be able to use this service with older versions of Netscape mail. |
